The 2026 Ladbrokes Nutrien Equine Sunshine Stars Yearling Sale is set to showcase progeny from an exceptional lineup of race mares, including six Group 1 winners, among them two QBred Triad champions. An outstanding 45 of the 68 catalogued lots are out of race-winning mares — a remarkable 66 percent strike rate.
The offering features progeny of QBred Triad winners Jasper and Cat King Cole, NSW Breeders Challenge winner New York Fashion, triple Vicbred champion Spidergirl, 2YO and 3YO Trotting Filly of the Year My Arya, Vista Bella (Vic. Youthful and Bathurst Gold Bracelet), Vena May (Vic. Argent Classic), Zara’s Delight (Redcliffe Oaks), Chevron’s Reward (Queen Of The Creek), Tanamay (Tas. Blue Bonnet), along with $100,000 earners Reaza Grunter and Saint Kilda Beach.
Nearly 60 percent of the catalogue is from winner-producing mares, including the six Group 1 winners and two QBred Triad champions. These elite dams have already produced a cavalcade of stars such as four-time Group 1 winner Expensive Ego ($992,307), The Hayden winner and Inter Dominion Final runner-up Speak The Truth, NSW Breeders Challenge victor Tin Tin Jo, Tardelli (Bathurst Gold Crown), QBred Triad winners Talent To Spare and Art’s Treasure, APG Gold Bullion winners Chicago Bart and More Sass, Corporal Luna (Seymour Nursery), dual Vicbred trotting champion Always Ready, and Ajay Volstead (The Stellar Square).
The sale will be conducted by Nutrien Equine – Standardbred and hosted by the Albion Park Harness Racing Club at The Creek on Sunday, February 22.
