First season sire Bettors Wish had two runners in Friday night’s $125,000 WA Sales Classic Final at Gloucester Park and achieved the perfect result when his fillies Ma Petite Dame and Wishing Belle quinellaed the race.

Trained by Ryan Bell and driven by Kyle Symington, Ma Petite Dame started a $1.38 favourite and led throughout to gain revenge on Wishing Belle who beat her in the heat of the Classic ten days earlier.

Wishing Belle is trained and driven by Aiden De Campo and both Ryan Bell and De Campo worked for Aiden’s father Andrew some years ago.

There are two yearlings by Bettors Wish in this Sunday’s Nutrien Sydney Yearling Sale and Lot 170 is bred along similar lines to Ma Petite Dame.

Being offered by Gempark, Lot 170 is the second foal and first colt from the Captaintreacherous mare La Cabeza Gem.

Ma Petite Dame is out of a Somebeachsomewhere mare and of course Captaintreacherous is a son of Somebeachsomewhere.

La Cabeza Gem won six races as a 2yo including the Group Three NSW Breeders Challenge Eastern Final and a heat of the Bathurst Gold Tiara.

She is a half-sister to a couple of $100,000 earners in Grand Stride, 16 wins and $324,658, and Sapphire Stride which won 11 times and earned $134,115.

La Cabeza Gem is also a half-sister to the dam of Chariots Of Fire and Victoria Cup winner Caribbean Blaster which won 24 races and $1,113,677.

Lot 170 can be inspected prior to the sale by contacting Gempark on 0408 777 891.

The second colt by Bettors Wish in Sunday’s sale is Lot 183 which is being offered by Jake Stockton’s Wingate Farm and he is out of the 2yo Victorian Sapling Stakes winner Luvumum who retired to stud as the winner of ten races and $65,561.

Her first two foals are both winners and her third is a 2025 2yo and is expected to race this season.

Luvumum is a half-sister to the Betting Line gelding Luvbite which won at Albion Park three starts ago and he finished third in the race won by Rylee Rhayne Bow at Albion Park on Saturday night.

A half-sister to Luvumum in Perfectlyimpertfect is the dam of Naturally Gifted which was runner-up in a Group One Bathurst Gold Crown as a 2yo and then runner-up in a Group One NSW Derby as a 3yo after winning heats of both races.

Naturally Gifted was sold to the USA and currently has a record of 12 wins and $282,162 in stakes.

Jake Stockton can be contacted on 0428 527 998 to arranged pre-sale inspection of Lot 183.
