It isn’t often that it only needs the winners of the first two dams to fill a Nutrien catalogue page and it is even harder to find the dam of a yearling with two 1:50 millionaires among her progeny.

Lot 102 in the Nutrien Sydney sale fulfils both requirements.

Being offered by Jake Stockton’s Wingate Farm, Lot 102 is a colt by the outstanding racehorse King Of Swing and his dam is the Group Three winning 2yo Dancing Diamonds which went to stud as a winner of nine races and $343,276.

Dancing Diamonds has subsequently joined the ranks of broodmare royalty as the dam of New Zealand and Australian 2yo Filly of the Year Our Princess Tiffany which came back as a 3yo winning a New South Wales and New Zealand Oaks as well as a Queensland Oaks and Queensland South East Oaks on her way to earnings of $1,061,195 and a record of 1:49.9.

Her half-brother Rock Diamonds took a record of 1:50.0 in the USA and after a win at Yonkers on February 18 has combined Australasian and USA earnings of $1,036,894 with more likely in the coming weeks.

Interestingly Rock Diamonds, a multiple Group Two winner in Western Australia, is a son of Rocknroll Hanover – the sire of King Of Swing.

Lot 102 in Sydney is the only yearling being offered in Australia in 2025 that is a half relation to a pair of millionaires.
