The Courage Under Fire mare Glenferrie Alexis won 19 of her 65 starts and $288,323 including wins in the Group Two Horsham Cup and the Listed Maryborough Gold Cup.
Her sixth foal, the Sweet Lou gelding Muselet gave Glenferrie Alexis her third individual winner with a win at Bendigo on Wednesday the 19th Feb, rating 2:00.1 over the 2150 metres.
The seventh foal out of Glenferrie Alexis is a colt by Stay Hungry and Yirribee Pacing Stud is offering the colt as Lot 57 in the 2025 Nutrien Sydney Yearling Sale.
Glenferrie Alexis is one of seven $100,000 earners produced by her New Zealand bred dam Alegria with the others including the Group Three Red Ochre Mares Classic winner Freedom Is $165,265, Du Vella $208,011 and Im Alex $151,101.
Stay Hungry has already produced 22 winners from his first Australian crop which are current 3yos.
In 2024 Stay Hungry finished second on the Australian First Season’s Sires List with a crop of 48 foals producing 29 starters and 20 2yo winners.
His average 2yo earnings per starter of $17,523 gave him top spot among the first season sires on that statistic.
In fact only the established stars Sweet Lou, Captaintreacherous and Bettors Delight finished ahead of Stay Hungry in average earnings per 2yo starter.
Hunger Strike won the APG Brisbane Classic on her way to more than $100,000 as a 2yo while Sugar Rush finished second in the 2024 Sunshine Stars Fillies Classic on her way to earnings of $48,937.
