When the 2yo Captaintreacherous colt Wit Wickee won at Parkes on Friday night for trainer/driver Amanda Turnbull he maintained the 100% producing record of his dam Ideal Talila.
An American Ideal mare, Ideal Talila has produced four foals of racing age and all four are now winners headed by the Group One Bathurst Gold Chalice placegetter Iambecauseofyou which has won on nine occasions and banked $70,791.
Wit Wickee’s breeder Nathan Varcoe will offer a colt by Bulldog Hanover out of Ideal Talila as Lot 71 in the 2026 Nutrien Sydney Yearling Sale.
Bulldog Hanover took a record of 1:45.8 and won on 28 occasions on his way to stakes of $2,419,000 and in 2022 he was voted both USTA and Canadian Harness Horse of the Year.
His first North American foals hit the track in 2025 and he already has 22 American 2yo winners this year headed by Hes A Bulldog p,2,1:51.2 $379,326.
Bulldog Hanover’s first Australian foals will be sold at the 2026 Nutrien Yearling Sales.
Ideal Talilia’s first foal Cathartic is the dam of Lot 8 in the Nutrien Tasracing Yearling Sale on 14th February – a great Valentine’s Day present for someone.
