At Newcastle on 28 January the $15,000 Super Maiden was taken out by Always B Miki 4yo Miki Moo.
At Goulburn on 1 February the $15,000 Super Maiden was won by the 3yo Captaintreacherous colt Emperor.
It wouldn’t have been such a big deal apart from the fact that a half-sister to Miki Moo and Emperor is Lot 24 in the 2026 Nutrien Sydney Yearling Sale.
Their dam Bettor Give It has, in the space of five days, gone from being the dam of two winners to now having four winners to her name.
Bettor Give It, a winner of 15 races and $138,061, is a half-sister to the multiple Group One winner Twist and Twirl which is the dam of legendary pacer King Of Swing which is a three-time Australian Harness Horse of the Year.
The previous week her best performed foal Mach Dan finished in seventh place in the Group Two Ballarat Cup won by Leap To Fame. Mach Dan has 28 wins and stakes of $1,052,235 and is a dual Newcastle Mile winner at Group One level.

Emperor is not the first Australian pacer to carry that name.
The original Emperor was a 1948 colt by King Oro from New Princess and, although bred in Victoria, he won 13 races in Western Australia including eight city class races at Gloucester Park and Richmond Park and was runner-up to Dillon Tower in the £750 1958 New Year Handicap.
