Former boom pacer Ride High was in the winner’s list at Mildura last Friday when he sired his first winner courtesy of 2yo filly Im On No Sleep.

Driven by Jack Laugher for trainer and part-owner Grant Coelli, Im On No Sleep led for the bulk of the 1790 metres and cruised home five metres clear of Lord Myrmecia and Mason Dixon Line and rating a handy 1:59.1.

Ride High has had five 2yo starters already this season and at the Nutrien Melbourne Sale on April 13 there are three fillies and two colts by Ride High being offered for sale.

Alabar Bloodstock and Durham Park Standardbreds will each offer two Ride High yearlings while Ian Douglas will offer one.

Coincidentally one of the Durham Park draft is Lot 215, a colt out of the imported Canadian mare Garden Gate Tina, which is already the dam of seven winners including the well-performer Beach Garden which won 11 races and $135,844 before being retired to stud.

Beach Garden’s first foal Keayang Renegade won at Terang last Wednesday to provide a timely update to the pedigree of Lot 215.

The second of the Durham Park Ride High yearlings is a filly from the five-time winner Fiscal Fantasy which is Lot 212. All the Durham Park draft are being prepared by Jaimie Lee Bryans who can be contacted on 0498 123 791 to arrange a pre-sale inspection.

The Alabar Bloodstock yearlings by Ride High are Lots 296 and 351 and they too will offer a colt and a filly.

Lot 296 is a colt from the well-performed Rock N Roll Heaven mare Shesa Killer Queen which won nine races and $155,629 and has now produced two winners from her first two foals with her third foal scheduled to race as a 2yo this season.

Lot 351 is out of the unraced Bettors Delight mare Bespoke who is a full-sister to former Australian 2yo Pacer of the Year Aussie Made Lombo.

Aussie Made Lombo’s grand-daughter Soho Americano won the Group Three J L Raith Memorial on Miracle Mile night at Menangle over this past weekend.

Aussie Made Lombo is also the dam of current 2yo Soho Trump which won on debut at Menangle on February 11 rating a slick 1:54.5 over the mile.

Alabar Bloodstock can be contacted on 0423 812 652 to arrange inspection of any of their draft.

The fifth of the Ride High yearlings in the Melbourne Sale is Lot 349 which is being consigned by Ian Douglas and is a filly from the Bettors Delight mare Bellasario.

Bellasario won 12 races and $71,704 and has already produced three winners including the Group One 4yo Vicbred Super Series winner Captain Bellasario.

A half-sister to Bellasario is Maastrict whose 3yo daughter Its Maa Time won the $100,000 WA Sales Classic on February 28 at Gloucester Park.

Ian Douglas can be contacted on 0417 509 633 to arrange a pre-sale inspection of Lot 349.
