In the week leading up to the 2026 Super Bowl, the American Ideal three-year-old Dallascowboy broke his maiden status, scoring on debut at Charlton on Monday.
Renowned more for their cheerleaders than on-field success, the Dallas Cowboys haven’t lifted a Super Bowl trophy since 1995.
Driven by Ryan Sanderson for trainer Shane Sanderson, Dallascowboy cruised to victory by three metres over Tryx Vixen and Major Roy, covering the mile in a slick 1:57.9.
Durham Park Standardbreds will offer a half-brother to Dallascowboy as Lot 316 at the Nutrien Melbourne Yearling Sale on April 12.
Lot 316 is out of the nine-time winner Intrusive, who has also produced five-time winner Intrusion in addition to Dallascowboy.
The grand-dam of Lot 316 is Intrude, crowned Australian Broodmare of the Year in 2012. Intrude is the dam of eight winners, four of which have earned in excess of $100,000, including the outstanding Make Mine Cullen. A three-time Australian Pacing Mare of the Year, Make Mine Cullen won four Group One races and amassed $874,178 in stakes.
Lot 316 is being prepared for Durham Park Standardbreds by Jaimie Lee Bryans, who can be contacted on 0498 123 791 to arrange a pre-sale inspection.
