Super maiden win
When the 4yo Always B Miki mare Miki Moo won the Super Maiden at Newcastle on Wednesday evening for trainer Luke McCarthy and driver Jack Callaghan she gave her owner Mick Harvey a bonus.
Harvey has a half-sister to Miki Moo in the Nutrien Sydney Yearling Sale on March 8.
The half-sister will go under the hammer as Lot 24 and this filly by Captain Crunch is also a half-sister the prolific winner Mach Dan which has won 28 races on his way to career earnings of $1,052,235.
A dual Newcastle Mile winner, Mach Dan won the Group One Breeders Challenge as a 3yo and the Group Two NSW Sapling Stakes as a 2yo.
Bettor Give It, the dam of Lot 24, is a Bettors Delight half-sister so dual Group One winner Twist And Twirl which retired with seven 3yo wins to her name and stakes of $297,753.
Twist And Twirl’s first foal was the three-time Australian Harness Horse of the Year King Of Swing, whose first crop will commence racing as 2yos in 2026.
Lot 24 features just two dams on the catalogue page and has enormous potential as a quality broodmare after her racing career has finished.
King Of Swing’s second crop of yearlings will be offered across the Nutrien Sales in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria with 13 scheduled to go under the hammer at the Inglis Complex at Warwick Farm.
